To insure the quality of purchases, all computer systems should be pu rchased from major name brand computer manufacturers.

Processor
Core 2 Duo Processor with 4 MB or Greater Level One Cache.
1066 or Greater Front Side Bus (FSB) Speed.

RAM
2 GB of RAM for Windows XP, 4 GB for Windows Vista.

Graphics
Windows Vista Ready dedicated graphics card; 256 MB RAM, with DVI or Dual DVI/VGA output.

Monitor
Minimum of 17” Monitor with dual VGA/DVI inputs.
Suggested Monitor: 19” or 20” LCD flat panel monitor with dual VGA/DVI inputs.

Operating System
Windows XP Professional with all current service packs installed.

It is highly suggested that all systems be Factory Downgraded to Windows XP if this option is available from the manufacturer when the system is configured for purchase. If a factory downgrade to XP is not available at time of order then Windows Vista may be installed on the computer. All agencies are strongly urged not to upgrade a Windows XP System to Windows Vista as this may cause undesirable results.

Hard Drive
80 GB or larger hard drive with 20 GB free hard disk space. For stand alone installations a larger hard drive with more free space may be needed. The size of the hard disk in these situations varies based on the size of your AIRS database. Not all software may be legally transferred from one computer system to another, check with the software’s manufacturer or the EULA that came with your software for information.

Optional but Desirable Components
Strongly suggested for providers with no or unreliable back up procedures

External Storage 300 GB or larger USB External Hard Drive with Data Protection Software for System Back-up.

Please also keep in mind:

  • What is available on the PC market changes every few months, this listing is based on what is currently available. Preferred specs are listed above, however any higher level or capacity of hardware will allow optimal performance and may be preferable.
  • The higher your RAM memory, the better your performance will be with any software package.
